The e-learning (e-HAST) offers up-to-date theoretical knowledge on clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of hyperacute stroke. The e-courses can be accessed through computers and mobile devices. e-HAST covers basic sciences, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute stroke. The programme aims to improve the quality of stroke care by keeping the hospital staff members up to date in stroke management. The curriculum includes core topics, clinical guidelines, evidence-based protocols, case-studies and interactive videos. The lectures are delivered by top healthcare professionals who have extensive experience in stroke treatment in the National Health Service of the United Kingdom.

The e-course is suitable for all staff members who care for stroke patients including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and speech therapists. Communication and multidisciplinary team approach are emphasized throughout the course. The course consists of six modules. The participants are recommended to spend one week per module with the aim to complete the course in six weeks.
